Finding the best way to turn the growing trend of ecommerce to your advantage can be quite simple. Resale rights products and PLR (private label rights) products both offer you the means to make an excellent living on the Internet. However, these types of products are not necessarily the same, though they are very similar. What are the differences between PLR and resale rights products?
First, let's examine resale rights products. These can be almost anything, from software to eBooks and even educational courses. Generally, when you purchase these products from the creator (or from another reseller), then you are granted the right to sell those products to your own customers. However, you can generally not change the information within the products, nor can you claim authorship. There are other circumstances that can be present, as well. For instance, you might be limited in the number of times that you can sell the product.
General resale rights give you the ability to sell the product to your customers. However, master resale rights products let you sell the product, and pass along the right for your buyers to sell the product, as well. If you purchase the full master resale rights to a product, then you can sell master resale rights, as well as general resale rights for the product to your customers.
Now, private label rights products are a different matter entirely. These can be modified to fit your purposes, or even so that you can claim authorship of the product. Often, you need to make a substantial change to the information in order to claim authorship, but this can be quite simple. In addition, because you have purchased the private label rights to the product, you can make those changes, whereas most resale rights products do not allow you to do this at all.
Another common practice with private label rights products is to break the product down into smaller components. For instance, an eBook might be broken down into several shorter articles, or the content might be used as blog posts on your website. In fact, the options are almost limitless.
